The Learning Centre of King Bhumipol ’s Philosophy of Economic Sufficiency


            Regarding initiative of Minister’s spouse association in paying respect to King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit in 2001. They gave meals, occupations and service to public which were occasionally activities depending on availability of time. They, later, would like to make this initiative be as long-lasting merit and dedicate to the King and queen. Therefore, they brought King Bhumibol’s philosophy of economic sufficiency: new agricultural theory as well as Queen Sirikit’s folk arts and crafts works to agriculturalist and general people.

           This initiative has become as an establishment of 4 Learning Centres of economic sufficiency philosophy and handicraft project in 4 parts of Thailand. Learning Centre of King Bhumibol’s philosophy of economic sufficiency and handicraft’s demonstration and support Learning Centre in the North of Thailand will be the first centre located in the area of Department of Veterinary, and the third agricultural division, Department of Veterinary, Thai Army. 

          The army is assigned by the Government to take care of this project due to these reasons as follow:

1.     The army posses big area.

2.     Soldiers are able to take care of the Centre when there is now a war.

3.     The army has got experienced offices who are ready to contribute the King’s philosophy to people.

4.     The most important thing is that the army officers are highly royal and ready to preserve and enhance His Majesty the King’s prestige.

Objectives 

1.     To give worship to the King and Queen as royal merit.

2.     To be a learning centre of King’s Bhumibol’s philosohphy of economic sufficiency and folk arts and crafts works for youth, agriculturalist and general people

3.     To make income and extra job for agriculturalist and local people

4.     To be a relaxation area for people

 Process 

          Process of Learning Centre in the North, as a demonstration center of economic sufficiency: new agricultural theory and handicraft project, process these activities as follow:

1.     Exhibition and demonstration activity

2.     Learning activity station

3.     Training activity

4.     Training activity within Learning Centre and area nearby 

 

1.    Exhibition and demonstration activity are composed of exhibition about economic sufficiency: new agricultural theory and handicraft project.
Demonstration is land of new agricultural theory demonstration, weaver, basketry, sculpture, and carved figure.   

2.     Learning activity station is composed of 5 basics which are farm register station, farm station, fruit station, soil – water - and fertilize station, and animal feeding station.  

3.    Training activity is to train agriculturalist, interested people and youth about extra job and agricultural. 

4.    Tourism activity is to learn His Majesty’s initiative and take a trip to visit learning centre’s activities including visiting and joining the activities at touristic areas which are demonstration of arm using on horse back, horse riding and demonstration of army’s dog etc.,.

 Process of visiting Learning Centre in the North

1.     Learning of economic sufficiency at Learning Centre Exhibition building.

2.    Studying the new agricultural theory at land of new agricultural theory demonstration.

3.     Visiting handicraft exhibition building.

        4.     Visiting weaver, basketry, sculpture, and carved figure.
